We&nbsp;met&nbsp;on&nbsp;the&nbsp;dating&nbsp;app&nbsp;Bumble&nbsp;(buzzzzz&nbsp;;)&nbsp;!!)&nbsp;and&nbsp;went&nbsp;to&nbsp;an&nbsp;adult&nbsp;arcade&nbsp;on&nbsp;our&nbsp;first&nbsp;date.&nbsp;Tim&nbsp;showed&nbsp;up&nbsp;15&nbsp;minutes&nbsp;early&nbsp;with&nbsp;chocolate&nbsp;and&nbsp;a&nbsp;card&nbsp;for&nbsp;Claudia.&nbsp;Claudia's&nbsp;dogs&nbsp;DJ&nbsp;&&nbsp;Mo,&nbsp;usually&nbsp;picky&nbsp;with&nbsp;humans,&nbsp;liked&nbsp;Tim&nbsp;immediately.&nbsp;&nbsp;We&nbsp;bonded&nbsp;over&nbsp;our&nbsp;shared&nbsp;love&nbsp;of&nbsp;'80s&nbsp;movies&nbsp;(especially&nbsp;The&nbsp;Karate&nbsp;Kid),&nbsp;sushi,&nbsp;sports&nbsp;(same&nbsp;baseball&nbsp;team,&nbsp;GO&nbsp;YANKEES!;&nbsp;different&nbsp;football&nbsp;and&nbsp;basketball&nbsp;teams!),&nbsp;Frank&nbsp;Sinatra,&nbsp;and&nbsp;dancing&nbsp;around/being&nbsp;silly.&nbsp;&nbsp;We&nbsp;both&nbsp;vacationed&nbsp;on&nbsp;the&nbsp;Jersey&nbsp;Shore&nbsp;when&nbsp;we&nbsp;were&nbsp;little&nbsp;and&nbsp;love&nbsp;Seinfeld.&nbsp;After&nbsp;2.5&nbsp;years&nbsp;of&nbsp;dating,&nbsp;Tim&nbsp;proposed&nbsp;in&nbsp;Bar&nbsp;Harbor,&nbsp;Maine&nbsp;on&nbsp;Sand&nbsp;Beach&nbsp;during&nbsp;Claudia's&nbsp;birthday&nbsp;weekend&nbsp;in&nbsp;fall&nbsp;2020.&nbsp;&nbsp;Planning&nbsp;a&nbsp;wedding&nbsp;during&nbsp;Covid&nbsp;has&nbsp;been&nbsp;challenging,&nbsp;so&nbsp;we&nbsp;are&nbsp;opting&nbsp;for&nbsp;a&nbsp;small&nbsp;micro&nbsp;ceremony&nbsp;and&nbsp;dinner&nbsp;in&nbsp;spring&nbsp;2021,&nbsp;with&nbsp;hopes&nbsp;of&nbsp;a&nbsp;bigger&nbsp;party&nbsp;down&nbsp;the&nbsp;road!

Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outdoors&nbsp;in front of the beluga whale tanks. In the case of inclement weather, we will be inside by the sting ray tank. There is ample parking, as the aquarium has a huge lot; however, just as an FYI, cars cannot remain there overnight. Post ceremony, we will be taking a few pictures, so feel free to walk around the aquarium both inside and out!

The ceremony will be followed by a celebratory dinner at a local restaurant named Red 36.

We have reserved the upstairs area. There is parking at the restaurant and please feel free to drive from the ceremony to the dinner if you would like. However, should you not wish to drive at all, we will have a shuttle available to take you from the ceremony to the dinner, and then back to the hotel after dinner. Please let us know if you wish to avail yourselves of the transportation. &nbsp;

 









For lodging, we have opted to stay at the Hilton in Mystic (20 Coogan Boulevard, Mystic, CT 06355/860.572.0731). It is right across the street from the aquarium, and so you can even walk to the ceremony, which is what we recommend doing if you are planning on taking our shuttle to the dinner! It is also just a 2-minute drive to Mystic Seaport, which is a must-see, and just steps from the charming Olde Mistick Village, and we'd love for our family & friends to all stay there too! This hotel is offering our guests discounted rates, so please contact one of us so we can tell you how to book here&nbsp;(rates&nbsp;based on availability).We offer additional hotel suggestions under our "Guest Accommodations" tab, so please check that out should you be looking to stay elsewhere.

Semiformal/cocktail/festive attire requested. Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held outside, so please dress accordingly.

MYSTIC, we love you!

We wish we could have ALL our loved ones with us on our big day, but COVID-19 has brought other plans. We are so thrilled for those of you that can join us at our micro wedding in person and look forward to celebrating at a later date with those who will be with us in spirit. Mystic, Connecticut is a very special place for us. Claudia went to college nearby (yay, Connecticut College Camels!!), and it has long been home to several of her favorite restaurants, shops, and sights. We have gone on several dates to Mystic and frequently stop there on our way from Boston to NY and Philly to visit our families. After getting engaged, we were researching different places, and Mystic just kept coming up as the perfect spot for us. It is somewhat centrally located for all our family and friends in PA, NJ, NY, CT, RI and MA, and really is the most adorable waterfront New England town with a rich nautical history. We look forward to our family and friends exploring it more over our wedding weekend.

Bravo Bravo is Claudia’s fave restaurant from her Connecticut College days, and offers authentic contemporary Italian food and drink. The mushroom bruschetta is to die for and you’ll drool over the house made pastas and desserts!

Mystic River Bascule Bridge is a drawbridge from the 1920s that overlooks the scenic Mystic River. Right over the bridge is Mystic Drawbridge Ice Cream, which has been serving up delicious homemade ice cream and treats since the 1800s! Try the chocolate chip cookie dough!!

The aquarium is our favorite, and luckily, you’ll get to see it at our ceremony!

Historic downtown Mystic, right by the drawbridge, is really something! You absolutely cannot miss walking down W. Main Street, which is chock full of charming restaurants and quaint shops. A personal favorite is The Spice and Tea Exchange, which offers every flavor of salt you could ever want and so many different flavors of loose leaf tea!
